Circular tools are used mostly for longitudinal cutting. Their types and use can be seen in the figures.

Upper circular tools cut mostly against the lower tool as you can see in the figure at the bottom of this page. This method is called "shearing". We can, however, offer tools cutting against a metal roller. They have different names, from foil to slotted. Their shape and design depend on their use, they can be 1 mm or even 18 mm thick. The correct angle must be used to achieve a quality cut. These tools can be driven but are also freely rolling with the lower knife and the material being cut. If you inquire about these tools, please tell us the most frequently cut material and its thickness or weight on m2, your cutting will have a better quality.
Springs: The spring is an important part as it keeps a constant pressure on the lower tool. We offer these parts as well.

Cutting using circular blades

Lower circular tool: This is the counter blade to the upper one. They are usually installed in the roller. They can use hard metal to increase their lifetime and to reduce the downtime as replacement can be very labour-intensive. They can, as you can see in the figures, be both uni- and bilateral. There are many tools of this kind so please tell us the size or type of the equipment. Even the lower tools must have the right angle.
Circular tools for cardboard, "CD" for BHS and Fosber machines. We offer tools, diameter of 240 mm, of hard metal for BHS machines and those made of high-speed steel for Fosber machines. For continuous grinding , we can also offer diamond grinding stones , which you can find in chapter titled "Machine parts - wheels".

The figures of tool examples in this chapter are only of an informative nature.
